Krohnberg, Newkirk collect Chateau Speedway wins on Hall of Fame Night

LANSING, Minn. (May 23, 2025)—Chateau Speedway hosted an action-packed Friday night of racing during the Hall of Fame Night, featuring the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series.

The event honored racing legends while delivering thrilling competition in the USRA Stock Cars and USRA Hobby Stocks divisions, with drivers battling for top spots on the historic oval.

In the USRA Stock Car Feature, Stacy Krohnberg of Walters took the checkered flag, starting from the third position. P.J. Duchene of Faribault followed closely in second, with Jason Schlangen of Cresco, Iowa, securing third.

Andrew Eischens of Taopi claimed fourth, and Jackson Vsetecka of Fort Atkinson, Iowa, rounded out the top five.

The USRA Hobby Stock Feature saw Jason Newkirk of Austin dominate from the third starting spot to claim the victory. Terry Quam of Cresco, Iowa, finished a strong second, while Steve Dwyer of La Crosse, Wis., took third.

Jack Paulson of Morristown charged to fourth, and Caden Helle of Garnavillo, Iowa, completed the top five.

The event, steeped in tradition, celebrated the legacy of Chateau Speedway’s Hall of Fame inductees, adding extra significance to the night’s races. Fans filled the grandstands, enjoying a mix of nostalgia and high-speed action under the lights.

Chateau Speedway’s next event is Friday, May 30, for the Kevko Paint the Town Pink Night, featuring USRA Stock Cars and USRA Hobby Stocks. Proceeds from 50/50 ticket sales and $1 from each adult grandstand admission will support breast cancer research and the Race for a Cure. For more information, visit www.chateauspeedway.net.
