FOUNTAIN CITY, Wis. (May 16, 2025)—Mississippi Thunder Speedway roared to life Friday night for the American Family Insurance Free Night, delivering thrilling action across multiple divisions in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series.

In the USRA Modified Feature, Jacob Bleess of Chatfield led the charge, securing the victory. Parker Hale of Grand Meadow followed in second, with Jim Chisholm of Osage, Iowa, taking third. Keith Foss of Winona claimed fourth, and Rodney Sanders of Happy, Texas, rounded out the top five.

The USRA Stock Car Feature saw Jacob Bleess of Chatfield dominate again, earning his second win of the night. Brayden Gjere of Mabel took second, followed by Chris Hovden of Cresco, Iowa, in third. Brady Williamson of Rushford finished fourth, and Jim Chisholm of Osage, Iowa, completed the top five.

In the USRA B-Mod Feature, Taylor Skauge of Caledonia emerged victorious. Jett Sorensen of Rochester secured second, with Lilli Reps of Utica in third. Billy Steinberg, also of Utica, took fourth, and Shadow Kitchner of Arkansaw finished fifth.

The USRA Hobby Stocks Feature was won by Steve Larson of Decorah, Iowa. Joshua Ludeking, also of Decorah, Iowa, finished second, followed by Kolby Goepel of Britt, Iowa, in third. Dustin Doughty of Hudson took fourth, and Travis Krause of Buffalo City claimed fifth.

Mississippi Thunder Speedway will host its next event, the Inaugural Modified World Championship, from May 28-31, featuring a $100,025 winner’s share and a purse nearing $400,000.
