Buz Kaster won the USRA Stock Car main event.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (May 16, 2025)—Lakeside Speedway roared to life on Friday night with the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series, drawing 61 entries, including 13 USRA Stock Cars and 19 USRA B-Mods, for a thrilling night of competition. Buz Kaster and Tim Karrick, one of the most decorated racers in the track’s 70-year history, headlined the event by capturing feature victories in their respective classes.

In the USRA Stock Cars feature, Buz Kaster of Kansas City led the field to the checkered flag, followed by Dylan Holt of Topeka in second. Chris Dishong of Atchison charged from 11th to claim third, while Tim Shields of Kansas City, Missouri, finished fourth. Eddie Ingram of Kansas City rounded out the top five.

The USRA B-Mods feature saw Tim Karrick of Basehor dominate for the win. Jon Sheets of Nevada, Missouri, secured second, with Kerry Davis of Parkville, Missouri, taking third. Troy Carlyle of Kearney, Missouri, rallied from 10th to finish fourth, and Michael Taylor III of Kansas City, Missouri, completed the top five.
