Rain halts Pink Out Night at Fayette County Speedway

WEST UNION, Iowa (May 16, 2025)—Persistent rain forced the cancellation of feature races during Friday night’s Pink Out Night at Fayette County Speedway, halting the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series event after heat races were completed. Makeup dates for the feature races will be announced soon.
In the USRA Stock Cars, Dylan Clinton of West Union led the first heat, followed by Kevin Donlan and Derek Dettmann, both of Decorah. Brandon Dietrich of Waukon and Bill Scherf of Elkader rounded out the top five. In the second heat, Jason Schlangen of Cresco took the win, with Mitch Hovden of Decorah and Josh Roney of Postville in pursuit. Chris Roney of Decorah and Lynn Panos of Calmar completed the top five.
The USRA B-Mods saw Dan Hovden of Decorah dominate the first heat, followed by Jackson Carey of Nashua and Tim Heins of Waukon. Alex Zwanziger of Walker and Braiden Schaufenbuel of New Hampton secured fourth and fifth. In the second heat, Ben Moudry of Protivin claimed victory, with Dale Schwamman of Fort Atkinson and Troy Hovey of Cresco close behind. Travis Scholbrock of West Union and Brad Quirk of New Hampton finished the top five.
In the USRA Hobby Stocks, Luke Schluetter of New Hampton won the first heat, followed by Daryl Moss of West Union and Taylor Donlan of Decorah. Arthur Schott and Trevor Mitts, both of Clermont, took fourth and fifth. The second heat saw Josh Harms of Postville take the checkered flag, with B.J. Dahl of Calmar and Caden Helle of Garnavillo in tow. Trevor Fleming of Elkader and Paul Seabrooke of Decorah wrapped up the top five.
The first USRA Tuner heat was led by Jeremy Hills of Postville, with Dalton Fels of Calmar and Nolan Lerch of West Union in second and third. Dillon Riehle of Waukon and Ryan Gibson of Hawkeye finished fourth and fifth. In the second heat, Shawn Kraft of Decorah emerged victorious, followed by Colt Gilson of Strawberry Point and Michael Baumler of West Union. Perry Kessel of Cresco took fourth, while Niklaus Knobloch of Cresco did not start.
