Crawford County Speedway checkers wave for McDade, Whitworth


VAN BUREN, Ark. (May 10, 2025)—Crawford County Speedway roared to life on Saturday night with the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series, delivering intense dirt track action in the USRA Modified and USRA B-Mod divisions.

The event, held at the long-running racetrack, showcased competitive racing with local and regional talent battling for supremacy.

In the USRA Modified feature race, Carl McDade of Mulberry charged from the third starting position to claim victory. Matt Thompson of Bentonville secured second, followed closely by James Drummond of Mountainburg in third. Matthew Bolton of Van Buren finished fourth, and Rick Rasberry of Bentonville rounded out the top five.

The USRA B-Mod feature saw Cory Whitworth of Durant, Okla., take the checkered flag after starting second. Shannon Weese of Van Buren earned a strong second-place finish, while Johnathan Ferrari of Alma crossed the line in third. Talvin Hayes of Little Rock claimed fourth, and Grant Williams of Pocola, Okla., completed the top five.
