Ressie rules at Rice Lake Speedway

RICE LAKE, Wis. (May 3, 2025)—Kory Ressie of Alma surged to victory in the USRA Late Model feature race at Rice Lake Speedway on Saturday night, headlining the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series event.
Starting second, Ressie outpaced a competitive field, including two-time and defending USRA Late Model National Champion Cade Nelson of Hermantown, Minn., who finished second.
Mitchell Fenske of New Richmond started on the pole and secured third, followed by two-time former USRA Late Model National Champion Lucas Peterson of Stockholm. Patrick Kelley of Wyoming, Minn., rounded out the top five.
The 21-car feature saw intense battles throughout, with Ryan Howe of Menomonie charging from ninth to sixth. Steven O’Brien Jr. of Red Wing, Minn., and Josh Bach of Barron finished seventh and eighth, respectively. Jason McFadden of Jim Falls made a notable run from 20th to ninth, while Clayton Hofteig of Elk River, Minn., closed the top 10.
Heat race winners included Howe, Nelson and Josh Wahlstrom of Rice Lake.
