Rain cancels Thursday portion of Dairyland Showdown


FOUNTAIN CITY, Wis. (May 1, 2025)—Due to continuous rain impacting Southern Wisconsin and the surrounding area on Thursday, officials from the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series presented by DIRTVision, USRA KEVKO Racing Northern Lights Modified Series presented by Real Racing Wheels and track management have agreed to cancel the Thursday portion of the Dairyland Showdown at the Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wis.

The decision was made after consultation with Precision Weather Service with the interest of traveling race teams and fans in mind and to ensure the facility is ready for racing on Friday and Saturday.

If you purchased a Thursday ticket online in advance, you will receive a full refund back to your original form of payment.

The focus now shifts to Friday, which will see a full program for the World of Outlaws culminating with a $25,000-to-win, $1,500-to-start Feature. Saturday’s finale will be a separate full program featuring a $30,000-to-win, $1,600-to-start main event.

Both nights will also feature the USRA Northern Lights Modified Series with $2,000 to win on Friday, and $3,000 to win Saturday's finale.

The schedule for Friday and Saturday will see pit gates opening at 2 p.m. and grandstand gates opening at 5 p.m., with Hot Laps beginning at 6 p.m.

The 6th Annual Summit USRA Southern Nationals returns to the Boothill Speedway in Greenwood, La., from Oct. 16-18, featuring USRA Limited Mods and Sunoco USRA Factory Stocks in their final Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points event.
