Jobin, Moseley claim Memorial Shootout wins at Legacy Speedway

MILAN, N.M. (April 26)—The Legacy Speedway concluded its Memorial Shootout with an electrifying second and final night on Saturday.

Devon Jobin of Alamogordo and Rob Moseley of Los Lunas emerged victorious in the USRA Stock Car and USRA B-Mod feature races, respectively, under the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series banner.

In the USRA Stock Cars, Jobin started seventh and powered his No. 81 to the feature win, outpacing Española’s Herman Garcia, who finished second after starting ninth.

Rick Boelter of Los Lunas rounded out the podium in third after starting fifth. Ronnie Leathem Jr. of Albuquerque finished fourth and Brandon Ward of Blue Water Village was fifth at the finish line.

Heat race victories went to Garcia and Danny Gross Jr. of Los Lunas.

The USRA B-Mod feature saw Rob Moseley charge from 13th to claim the win, securing his third victory of the weekend, including a sweep of the USRA B-Mod events.

Aiden Frazier of Bosque Farms finished a strong second after starting sixth, while Cory Polen of Grants took third from the fourth starting position. Christopher Ward of Bluewater and Tracy Harris of Albuquerque completed the top five.

Three heat races set the stage with Moseley, Brett Cooper of Grants and Paul Campos of Rio Rancho taking wins. Campos, however, was disqualified in the feature.

The Legacy Speedway is a 3/8-mile high-banked clay oval located off of I-40 at exit 79, then 0.2 mile north, then 0.3 mile west, then 2 miles north to 1844 NM-605, Milan, NM 87021.
