Moseley dominates first night of Memorial Shootout at Legacy Speedway


GRANTS, N.M.—The Legacy Speedway in Grants, N.M., roared to life on Friday, for Night 1 of the Memorial Shootout featuring the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series.

A thrilling evening of dirt track racing showcased fierce competition in the USRA Stock Car and USRA B-Mod classes, with Rob Moseley emerging as the standout, claiming feature victories in both divisions.

In the USRA Stock Cars, Moseley of Los Lunas started sixth and charged to the front, securing his first victory of the night. Defending and 2024 USRA Stock Car National Champion Josh Cain of Rio Rancho followed closely, finishing second after starting ninth.

Rick Boelter of Los Lunas took third, while Devon Jobin of Alamogordo and R.C. Combs of Albuquerque rounded out the top five.

The USRA B-Mod feature saw Moseley again take the checkered flag, starting seventh and outpacing the field. Aiden Frazier of Bosque Farms claimed second, with Chris Morlang of Grants finishing third. Colton Polen of Grants and Riella LaRae Fanning of Albuquerque completed the top five.

Legacy Speedway, a racing institution with a rich history deeply rooted in the heart of Milan, N.M., was founded in 1969, and has been providing exhilarating motorsports entertainment for over six decades.
