Sandy shines at Vado Speedway Park


Vado Speedway Park in Vado, N.M., hosted the Easter Eggstravaganza featuring USRA B-Mods on Saturday as part of the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series.

The event featured intense competition as Hunter Sandy, who entered the night second in national points, secured a hard-fought victory.

In the feature, Sandy of Albuquerque started 10th and navigated through a competitive 25-car field to take the win.

Ageless Christy Barnett of El Paso, Texas, finished second after a strong run, while Deuce Teague of Las Cruces claimed third.

Rick Ortega of Las Cruces charged from 22nd to finish fourth, and Devan Smith of Las Cruces completed the top five.

The Easter Eggstravaganza delivered exciting racing action for fans at Vado Speedway Park, setting the stage for more events in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series.
