Wettengel, Sheets triumph at Lakeside Speedway

The Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., roared to life on Friday for the second event of the 2025 Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series season at the legendary high-banked 4/10-mile clay oval.

A strong field of competitors in the USRA Stock Cars and USRA B-Mods delivered an electrifying night of dirt track racing, with intense battles and standout performances captivating fans.

In the USRA Stock Car feature, Topeka's Jaylen Wettengel led the charge to Nextran Victory Lane, securing a commanding victory from the pole position.

Buz Kaster followed closely to claim second, while Chris Dishong held strong for third. Dylan Holt and Justin Custer rounded out the top five.

The USRA B-Mod feature saw Jon Sheets of Nevada, Mo., take the checkered flag after a hard-fought battle, earning a well-deserved win.

Chad Clancy of Polo, Mo., finished second, with Tim Karrick taking third. Kyle Henning and Eric Spreer completed the top five, delivering impressive runs in a thrilling race.
