Hare by a hair, Griffith gets redemtion at Hamilton County Speedway


Karl Chevrolet Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City, Iowa, hosted the second night of the 15th Annual Spring Classic on Saturday as part of the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series.

In the USRA Stock Car feature, Brandon Hare from Elma made a last-lap pass to secure the victory. Todd Reitzler from Grinnell finished second, followed by Parker Slagle from Eagle Grove in third. Dylan Clinton from West Union took fourth, and Derek Green from Granada, Minn., rounded out the top five.

The USRA B-Mod feature was won by Ty Griffith from Blairsburg, the 2024 USRA B-Mod National Champion with 18 victories last season. Dan Hovden from Decorah placed second, with Kaeden Bronner from Austin, Minn., in third. James Richert from Comfrey, Minn., finished fourth, and Bryer McCoy secured fifth.

In the USRA Hobby Stock feature, Parker Anderson from Welcome, Minn., took the victory. Bryce Sommerfeld from Fort Dodge finished second, followed by Scott Dobel from Manly in third. Dustin Gulbrandson from Sioux Falls, S.D., secured fourth, and Jeremy Crimmins from Fort Dodge rounded out the top five.

The USRA Tuner feature saw Michael Gardner from Des Moines claim the win. Jeremy Hills from Postville took second, with Charles Prime from Britt in third. Christopher Buchanan from Osceola finished fourth, and Landon Lyon from Duncombe completed the top five.

The next event at the Karl Chevrolet Hamilton County Speedway happens April 25-26 for a two-night full-fendered explostion featuring the Iron Man USRA Stock Car Series, paying $1,200 to win Friday and $2,000 going to Saturday's winner.

USRA Modifieds, USRA B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks and Crown Vics will also be in action.
