Nelson nabs Cedar Lake Speedway kickoff


Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis., opened its 2025 season with the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series presented by Bernick's Pepsi on Saturday, featuring competitive racing in a strong field of USRA Late Models.

In the feature, Cade Nelson from Hermantown, Minn.—the two-time and defending USRA Late Model National Champion—took the victory.

Ryan Howe from Menomonie finished second, followed by two-time USRA Late Model National Champion (2019-2020) Lucas Peterson from Stockholm in third. Kody Koski secured fourth, and Jason McFadden from Jim Falls rounded out the top five.
