Turner tops USRA Heartland Modified Tour


The USRA Heartland Modified Tour presented by Real Racing Wheels roared into the Electric City Speedway in Butler, Mo., on Friday, and a packed field of USRA Modifieds delivered intense competition, with drivers battling for position on the dirt oval under the spring night sky.

In the USRA Modified main event, Shadren Turner led the charge and secured the victory with a commanding performance.

Behind the USRA B-Mod graduate, two-time USRA Modified National Champion Tyler Davis of Haysville, Kan., followed closely to claim second, while Ryan Middaugh fought through the field to finish third.

Troy Gemmill of Ponca City, Okla., took fourth, and Dustin Hodges rounded out the top five with a solid run.

The event showcased the skill and determination of the drivers, with tight racing and strategic moves keeping fans on the edge of their seats.

Saturday's stop sits 122 miles north as I-35 Speedway in Winston, Mo.,will hold it's first HMT event of the year. Last season, Tyler Hibner and Tanner Mullens won stops at the Johnson family's house of power.
