New owners, new dirt at Revolution Park

What started out as a concrete oval at Revolution Park in Monroe, La., has been covered once again with a thick coat of Louisiana Red Clay. With new owners David and Misti Smith working all winter long, this is shaping up to be an outstanding season of Saturday night dirt track racing.
The Rev has produced an exciting schedule of events for their opening season, with 27 race nights featuring a rotating schedule with USRA B-Mods, USRA Limited Mods and Sunoco USRA Factory Stocks part of the regular divisions competing at the high-banked 3/8-mile oval.
The owners and a great group of hard working, race loving people have spent the past few months putting in countless hours making improvements to the facilities. A lot of long hours have went in to putting the clay surface back on the track, but they have also spent their time cleaning, repairing, pressure washing, painting and preparing for the 2025 season.
“We are new to this side of racing. We will make mistakes, but we will learn from them and do better,” David Smith said. "The team of workers at The Rev are knowledgeable and experienced in what they have been hired to do."
The owners may be new to owning a race facility but are not new to the sport, nor are they new to being long-time owners of a successful thriving business.
The first night of racing for the 2025 season will take place on Saturday, March 15, with the three Summit USRA Weekly Racing Sereies classes, plus Tuners, Pro-Mods, Sportsters, Street Stocks and Crate Late Models.
