Jon Sheets won the USRA B-Mod main event.

The Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series at the Humboldt Speedway on Friday delivered an electrifying night of competition in the USRA B-Mod division.

Drivers battled through intense heat races and a thrilling feature event, with Jon Sheets, Terry Schultz and Matthew Kay emerging as the top three finishers in the main event.

The evening kicked off with two fiercely contested heat races. The first saw Sheets of Nevada, Mo., charge from the seventh starting position to claim victory. Heat 2 saw Kay of nearby Chanute take the checkered flag, moving up from third to first.

The feature race brought the night’s excitement to a crescendo as Sheets continued his dominant performance, starting second and holding firm to claim the victory.

His win marked a strong start to the 2025 season at the quarter-mile clay oval.

Terry Schultz delivered a masterful drive to finish second while Kay rounded out the top three after starting fourth and maintaining a steady pace to secure third place.

The race saw plenty of action, with notable performances from Ryan Smith and Tyler Kidwell, who finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
