Chris Dishong won the USRA Stock Car main event.

Friday night at the Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., the USRA Stock Cars had a quality field of competitors with Gene Claxton and David Oxford picking up heat race wins.

At the drop of the green, Oxford and Chris Dishong charged to the front and battled side by side for the lead. Dishong pulled to the lead as Oxford spun in turn three, bringing out the caution.

On the ensuing restart, Justin Custer made the move of the race, slipping past three cars at once to take over second and challenge Dishong.

Dishong picked up the win with Custer second and Ingram a close third. Caster ended the feature fourth with Claxton rounding out the top five.

As always, the USRA B-Mods were be high in number and quality with Tim Karrick and of Patrick Royalty both winning heat races.

Karrick took the lead of the main event with Royalty challenging while Shadren Turner started marching through the field. Turner and Karrick battled with Turner taking the lead and slowly pulling away to pick up the feature win with Karrick second and Michael Taylor III racing his way to a solid third.

Fourth and fifth place saw the Clancy brothers, Stephen and Chad, fourth and fifth, respectively,  as the checkers fell.

Officials at the Lakeside Speedway thank all drivers, crews, fans and staff for another great night of racing and family fun. The Mahomes Challenge still stands at $500 as some were close but not in the barrel as the attempts continued.
