LA Raceway opener set for Saturday

La Monte, Mo. -- The LA Raceway in La Monte, Mo., will begin its weekly series point races this Saturday, March 31.
Two weekly series Saturday night races are scheduled for this Saturday and April 7, before switching back to Friday nights on April 27.
The weekly series will be headlined by the USRA Modifieds, with Street Stocks, Hobby Stocks, B-Mods and 305 Winged Sprints also part of the program.
Terry Schultz of Sedalia is the defending Modified track champion.
Sponsors for the series are Jim’s Tire Service, Gill Signs, Xtreme Motors and Pitts Homes.
The LA Raceway is a semi-banked 3/8-mile clay oval located only 12 minutes from Sedalia and 5 minutes from Whiteman Air Force Base on Y Highway.
Tickets for weekly shows are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and military, $6 for kids ages 11-15 while children 10 years and under are free. Special event prices will vary. Coolers without glass containers are welcome. The gates open at 5:00, hot laps start at 7:00 and races begin at 7:30.
