Cole Traugott won the USRA Modified main event.

Cole Traugott broke out the broom and completed a clean sweep of the weekend with the USRA American Racer Modified Series on Saturday with a win at the Route 66 Motor Speedway.

Thirty-five cars checked into the event in the Texas panhandle, and the residents of Amarillo were treated to a jim dandy of a show.

Polesitter A.J. Sharpensteen led the 25-car field to the green, and instantly battled with Joe Duvall for the lead.

A handful of laps into the race, Traugott made his move to the front, and left Duvall and Sharpensteen to deal with a hard-charging Cale Westover.

Past the halfway point, Westover stalked Traugott as they approached lapped traffic, and briefly took the lead once they got there.

Unfazed, Traugott navigated more heavy traffic to wrestle the lead back away from Westover and then set sail from there.

A late caution with three to go gave Westover one more shot, but Traugott got the best of the Altus, Oklahoma, shoe for the second night in arow.

Duvall completed the top three once again, Chase Hatton finished off a stellar night in fourth after winning the USRA Limited Mod feature earlier and Amarillo's Gene Weaver completed the top five.

Sammy McNabb was the Dickson Transport Hard Charger. He advanced from 25th to 13th in the main event and collected an extra $200 for his effort.

Duvall continues to lead the series points standings. Philip Houston is right behind him with Hatton sitting in third. Sam Osman resides in the fourth slot and Gary Christian rounds out the top five in points.
