Michael Taylor III won the USRA B-Mod main event.

The Humboldt Speedway returned to action Friday night after a week off for the Ed Gressel Memorial Race at 81 Speedway.

The Ray's Metal Depot USRA B-Mods closed out the show with a tough field of cars.

The heat races were won by Michael Taylor III and points leader Tyler Kidwell.

The feature saw Tayor and Matt Kay on the front row. Taylor grabbed the early lead with the field bunched behind him.

The battle for second through fifth place had the fans on their feet as Jerry Morgan, Dexton Daniels, Kidwell and Jon Sheets were trading spots each lap.

Taylor eventually grabbed the win followed by Sheets, Kidwell, mover of the night Daniels and Morgan completing the top six.

The Humboldt Speedway will be back in action Friday, July 5, with all five weekly classes and a fireworks show courtesy of Aiello Fireworks.

Drivers in the USRA Modified and USRA B-Mod divisions will battle for track, regional and national points in the summit USRA Weekly Racing Series.
