It's a doubleheader for the Sooner Mod Challenge this weekend with USRA Limited Mods and USRA Tuners running both nights of Sooner Palooza on Friday and Saturday, June 21-22, at the Elk City Motorsports Park in elk City, Okla.

Be sure to wear purple on Friday to support “Paint the Town Purple” for  Alzheimer's Awareness Week.

USRA B-Mods are permitted to race with the USRA Limited Mods both nights. Oklahoma Vintage Racers will join the program Friday with Caulkins Conoco Factory Stocks on tap for Saturday.

Pits open at 3 p.m. and grandstands open at 5 with hot laps at 7 and racing at 8.

Grandstand admission is $15 for adults ages 16-64. Youth (8-15), Seniors (65+), first responders and all active duty and retired military get in for just $10. Kids under 8 are free. Coolers are not allowed in the grandstands.

A pit pass is $30 with children under 5 only $10 and non-walking infants free. Free dry camping at the track is available both nights. Race teams are permitted to leave race trailers overnight until Sunday.

An open practice is slated for Thursday from 5-10 p.m. the cost is $100 per car and includes unlimited pit passes. Spectators can watch for free.
