Kacey Shields won the USRA Stock Car main event.

The Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series was back in action Friday at the Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., for the Bob Reber Memorial.

The USRA Stock Cars saw Gary Donaldson and Chris Dishong win heat races and lead early as the feature took the green flag. Donaldson charged to the lead as he and Tom Fogarty graced the front row with all competitors in pursuit.

Fogarty developed mechanical issues as Dishong took the top spot. Kasey Shields was trying to make it two in a row and three on the season thus far, and got past Dishong and held off the challenges of Jaylen Wettengel.

A late-race caution bunched the field with Dishong using the high line to get by Shields and appeared to have the win in hand until Shields worked his way past and again to capture the lead.

Shields picked up the feature win with Dishing a close second and Wettengel third. Fourth belonged to Donaldson with Gene Claxton ending the race with a solid fifth.

With a loaded field of drivers, the USRA B-Mods did not disappoint as Terry Schultz, Shadren Turner and Aaron Marrant all saw heat race wins.

Turner took the early lead using the high line and Kerry Davis challenged. Schultz also found the high line and was in the mix as well.

Marrant and Tim Karrick worked traffic to perfection and marched to the front but Turner added the feature win on this night and parked the Whitt Family Racing Np. 56 in Nextran Victory Lane.

Marrant and Davis put on a show for second with Marrant taking second and Davis third. Fourth went to Schultz with Karrick racing his way to fifth.
