Extra money on the line at Upper Iowa Speedway during Winneshiek County Fair
DECORAH, Iowa -- The Winneshiek County Fair races will be held Thursday, July 14, at the Upper Iowa Speedway.
USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars, USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks will be racing for extra prize money plus American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series track and national points with a draw/redraw qualifying format.
New cars are welcome, but must have USRA Competitor License or pay one-time fee of $20 for a USRA Temporary License.
The Winneshiek County Ag Society will be adding a bonus to each class of $100 to each winner, $75 for second place, $50 for third place and $25 for fourth place.
The grandstand for this event is by fair button only, $17 at the gate or $15 pre-fair.
Hot laps begin at 6 p.m. with racing to follow.
The Upper Iowa Speedway is a 1/4-mile semi-banked clay oval located 1.8 miles east of US 52 on SR 9, then 1.0 mile northwest on Montgomery St., then northeast on E.
