SPRING VALLEY, Minn. -- Joel Alberts and Nate Wasmund started on the front row of the USRA RHS Modified feature event Saturday night at the Deer Creek Speedway.

After racing side by side for lap one Wasmund took over the point. Tommy Myer sat in third while Like Schilling and Brandon Davis raced for fourth.

On lap five Wasmund was slowly pulling away while Myer worked under Alberts for second.

With eight down Davis moved under Alberts for the third spot and started to track down Myer. Up front Wasmund was slowly pulling away from the field.

With ten down Myer and Davis were side by side for second. Davis took over second on lap fourteen while Tim Donlinger moved into the fourth spot ahead of Jay Ihrke. Bob Timm, Keith Foss, Alberts and Jason Cummins raced for sixth.

With seventeen down Wasmund caught up to a pack of slower cars. Wasmund was slowly trying to work through the group but allowed Davis to start making up ground.

Wasmund finally got through the pack just as Davis started to move within a couple car lengths. Davis now got held up by the slower pack allowing Wasmund to take off into the lead all alone.

As the checkers flew Wasmund came home with the win, Davis second. Myer, Donlinger and Cummins rounded out the top five.

The USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mods were up next and after two complete restarts Brandon Hare led the field out of two. Dan Tenold, Ben Anderson and Scott Demmer were three wide for second.

Anderson took over the second spot while Tenold had Drew Lawson on his rear bumper trying to take over third.

Another caution flew on lap four as the field was sent to restart single file now. Hare again led with Anderson in second. Kylie Kath charged up to third while Tenold was now racing with Jake Timm for fourth.

Seven completed and Kath and Anderson were locked in a battle for second as Tenold and Timm raced for fourth. Timm cleared Tenold with Erik Kanz following him through to fifth.

As the laps wound down Timm joined Kath and Anderson as they raced for second. As the checkers flew it was Hare winning with Kath, Anderson, Timm and Kanz rounding out the top five.
