CRESCO, Iowa (June 27, 2002) - K & T Automotive & Machine sponsored tonight's special races at the Cresco Speedway.

The Stock Car heats were first to take the track with heat wins going out to Jake Ludeking, Mike Vseteska, Jeff Schluetter, and George Watson. The Factory Stock heat winner was Jimmy Brozirt.

The Stock Car consolation race was next on the track with Tom Schmitt picking up the win. The Stock Car class featured the only cash dash of the night, with Jeff Schluetter taking the win in that.

In the Factory Stock feature race, Dan Konmen started on the second row and moved up to the front right away. He seemed to be pulling away, but Jimmy Brozirt didn't let him get to far ahead. Konmen led for 8 laps before Brozirt passed him with 4 laps to go and held onto that lead to take the checkered. Konmen finished second, followed by Adam Iverson and Dave Lickteig.

George Watson also started in the second row in the Stock Car feature and jumped out to the lead in the first lap. Watson stayed in first while Scott Bauer, Jeff Schluetter, and Mike Vsetecka were battling for second. After leading for 15 laps, Watson lost the lead spot to Bauer and then Schluetter passed Watson with 3 laps to go. Bauer crossed the finish line first, followed by Schluetter, Watson, and Vsetecka.
