MONETT, Mo. -- For the seventh straight year, the Monett Speedway will feature the USRA RHS Modifieds on Sunday nights during the 2011 season.

The popular 3/8-mile clay oval showcases some of the best Show-Me State racers as they will challenge for the USRA Weekly Racing Series national championship for the USRA RHS Modified division.

“It's a great honro to have Monett back on board with the USRA family,” said USRA president Todd Staley. “That region has some of the most competitive and talented drivers in the country, and (promoter) Randy Mooneyham knows how to put on a show for the fans.”

In addition to competing for the $10,000-to-win USRA Weekly Racing Series national nhampionship, USRA RHS Modified will be competing for a lucrative track points fund that will pay $1,500 to the 2011 season points champion at the track.

Johnny Bone Jr. of Pea Ridge, Ark., is the defending track champion, and was also the track's titleist in 2008.

Weekly racing action happens on Sunday nights with hot laps at 7 p.m. and racing at 7:30.
