Rain ruins remainder of Dairyland Showdown

Heavy rain that led Mississippi Thunder Speedway officials to cancel Friday’s portion of the Oakridge Fabrication Dairyland Showdown presented by OFI Performance has increased intensity. After consulting with Precision Weather Service and local weather authorities a decision was made to cancel the remainder of the star-studded event ahead of any dangerous conditions and announce a new plan to race in the region later this season.

The Oakridge Fabrication Dairyland Showdown presented by OFI Performance will be completed at the Mississippi Thunder Speedway on Thursday, Aug. 31, and Friday, Sept. 1, with USRA Modifieds joining the World of Outlaws Late Models.

 If you bought a ticket in advance of Saturday’s finale, your ticket will be refunded through MyRacePass.

Anybody with a three-day ticket or pit pass can use them on either night when the makeup event happens on Labor Day Weekend. If you’re unable to attend, you can mail the tickets in for a refund, postmarked no later than 30 days from the end of the event (June 6). The mailing address is 1140 72nd Ave, Minnesota City, MN 55959.
