Cade Dillard won the USRA Modified main event.

The 2019 Rancho Milagro USRA Fall Nationals champion, Cade Dillard, rolled off from the outside of the second row in Sunday's 50-lap, $22,000- to-win USRA Modified feature.

After dogging early leader Johnny Scott for the first half of the event, Dillard blasted by around the high side after a mid-race restart and proceeded to drive away for his biggest career payday.

Scott, who started on the outside of the front row got the jump on polesitter Terry Phillips and led the first part of the race until Phillips made slight contact, sending Scott spinning in front of the field.

Everyone was able to avoid the spun Scott and he was restored to the lead on the restart and jumped back out front with Dillard on his heels.

Dillard put heavy pressure on Scott lap after lap until he was finally able to use the high line to his advantage and roared by into the top spot, which he never relinquished on his way to a 2.729-second victory.

While Scott and Dillard ran out front, Jake O’Neil ran a solid third for the majority of the event, while Dereck Ramirez and Jake Timm circled the speedway door to door for what seemed like eternity with Rodney Sanders and Tanner Mullens doing the same just behind.

Dillard raced to the huge win with Scott a solid second. O’Neil was third with Ramirez edging Timm at the line for fourth.

Sanders raced from 12th up to sixth with Mullens seventh, Kale Westover eighth, Bo Day ninth and Jake Gallardo rounding out the top 10.

In the USRA B-Mod feature, Aasa Flores took the lead from polesitter Jesse Haynie at the start of the 25-lapper and led early with fourth-starting Lucas Ward working into second early.

The three, along with points leader Justin Allen and Donavon Flores began to pull away from the field and the fivesome were putting on a great show out front.

Ward was stuck to the bottom of the speedway and was able to use that low line to his advantage and raced into the top spot while the battle ensued behind him.

Unfortunately, Aasa Flores and Dustin Smith made contact, eliminating both from competition and at the same time Donavon Flores headed to the work area.

Both Flores cars were able to continue but Ward ran alone out front on his way to the biggest payday of his career.

Hunter Sandy edged Allen at the line for an impressive second-place finish with Donavon Flores rallying from the tail to cross the finish line in fourth, just ahead of John Carney.

Josh Cain led from start to finish in the night’s $2,200-to-win Medieval USRA Stock Car feature, but was disqualified in post-race tech, elevating second-place finisher R.C. Combs to the biggest win of his career.

Cain got out front and paced the field for the entire 25-lap distance with Combs and Mike Rosales in tow.

The trio ran alone out front while 13th-starting Austin Huskey was working his way forward and appeared in the top five as well.

As the laps wound down, Cain worked his way flawlessly through traffic and crossed the finish line first but Combs was declared the winner.

Rosales crossed the line third but was elevated to second, just ahead of Huskey in third. Bryan Bennett finished fourth but was also dinged for a post-race infraction moving Shane McNutt to fourth and 14th-starting Zachary Madrid into the top five at the finish.
