OSKALOOSA, Iowa -- The First Annual Great American Stock Car Challenge at the Southern Iowa Speedway saw some more great racing action as Bobby Greene picked up his first win of the season at the Southern Iowa Speedway giving him the front row outside starting spot for the $2000 to win Hobby Stock feature event. Greene will start the race beside Mark Haglund. Jeff Zehr from Manson, IA bested the twenty-eight car field on Tuesday night giving himself the front row outside starting spot beside Monday nights winner Rick Brown. Zehr was ecstatic after the win and said that this is one of the toughest field of cars he has ever run against and just making the show was a great accomplishment in itself, but to sit outside the front row we will just have to see what happens. Eight-one stock cars checked in for the racing action on Tuesday night. Zack Vanderbeek looked as if he had the car to beat on Tuesday night working the bottom of the speedway, but would have to settle with a third place finish, which would give him a third row outside starting spot. Rounding out the top six on Tuesday was Jim Lynch, Zack Vanderbeek, Mike Hughes, Damon Murty, Dustin Vis. In the hobby stock class the top six was Greene, Mike Shelton, Grant Moline, Jacob Murray, Nathan Wood, Robert Rupprecht. Racing would resume on Thursday night after rain pretty much all day on Wednesday would force track officials to move the race until Thursday night.
