Bone breaks through at Humboldt

HUMBOLDT, Kan. - It has been a rough year at the Humboldt Speedway for Johnny Bone Jr., but a wire-to-wire USRA RHS Modified feature win on Friday certainly had to boost the Pea Ridge, Ark., driver's spirits.

Bone had been in command clear up to the white flag lap when a caution flag stopped the race and gave the rest of the field one final shot at the leader.

In the end, John Allen was the runner-up, with Brian Bolin edging Justin "Whitey" Folk for third. Cody Alger rounded out the top five.

Next week is Kids Night with bike races at half time. Vintage cars will also be added to the regular show.
