Searsboro Telephone Spring Challenge postponed

OSKALOOSA, Iowa -- The Saturday night April 10th IRA/NMRA Searsboro Telephone Spring Challenge at the Southern Iowa Speedway has been postponed. Approaching inclement weather, combined with forecast temperatures dipping below freezing at night, forced McTwo Promotions with full support from IRA and NMRA to push back this highly anticipated event. The event has been rescheduled to Friday night May 14th.

"We're gonna make a positive out of a negative," stated event co-promoter Terry McCarl in regards to the new date. "From an IRA standpoint the new date couldn't be any better, this gives our teams a chance to turn this race into a 3-day Spring Challenge as we can make the short drive from Oskaloosa to Knoxville for our show there on Saturday, then hit Dubuque Sunday on the way home," said IRA President Steve Sinclair, adding "we're looking forward to our inaugural sanctioned event at Osky and appreciate the cooperation we're receiving from McTwo and Knoxville for allowing us to create this great combination, throw in Dubuque and we've got one heckuva great weekend May 14- 16."

McTwo had quite the prize closet developing for this race and all the goodies will carry over. Arizonas' Calvin Landis will be on hand Friday night May 14th at Southern Iowa Speedway in attempt to try and defend his Spring Challenge crown, having won the inaugural event last year.
