Sander and Wesmar named Ultimate Challenge sponsors
OSKALOOSA, Iowa -- McTwo Promotions announced today that Sander Engineering and WESMAR Racing Engines have agreed to sponsor the $30,000 to win Ultimate Challenge at Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa August 12, 2003.
The Sander Ultimate Challenge presented by WESMAR is sanctioned by the SCRA and is the kick-off race of the Non-Winged World Championship tour, and is being billed as the “One Night Stand For 30 Grand.” McTwo Promotions has posted $30,000 to win the event which is drawing entries from across the country.
The latest driver to enter is Kim Mock, a veteran competitor with the Interstate Racing Association. Mock will have plenty of competition, as JJ Yeley, Bud Kaeding, Jay Drake, Cory Kruseman, 2002 winner Travis Rilat and many others are entered to do battle with the best of the SCRA, including Damion Gardner, Richard Griffin, Rip Williams, Rickie Gaunt, Tony Jones, Troy Rutherford and others.
Sander Engineering will award each heat race winner with a new right rear wheel, while the B main winner will receive a set of front hubs, courtesy of Weld Motorsports. Additional contingency awards for competitors are expected.
The event is preceded by McTwo Promotions $5,000 or $50,000 to win Brodix Front Row Challenge presented by Eagle for winged sprint cars on Monday, August 11 at the same venue.
Advanced ticket sales are available through Friday, August 8, 2003 for both events by calling McTwo Promotions at 515-957-0020 from 10AM until 4PM central time. Reserved grandstand seating and the popular infield party pass tickets will also be available at the gates.
