Lebanon Midway Speedway puts $500 bounty on Jackson
Officials at the Lebanon Midway Speedway have announced that an area sponsor has put up a $500 bounty if two-time USRA B-Mod National Champion Kris Jackson can be beat this Sunday, May 29, during the annual Tony Roper Memorial.
So far this season Jackson is three-for-three and will have to start the feature in the eight starting spot.
There are a few things listed in which the bounty will not be paid: mechanical failure, getting caught up in a wreck and not able to continue, or being taken out on purpose.
The feature will award track, regional and national points in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series with the feature event paying $500 to win and at least $75 to start.
Austin Greer heads up the track point standings with Jackson riding in second place.
The Tony Roper Memorial will also feature the Dirt Track Bank Cash Money Late Models, Midwest Mods, Super Stocks and Pure Stocks along with kids bike races and bike giveaways at intermission.
Drivers will open draw for heats and passing points will set the feature line up. Pit gates open at 4 p.m., grandstands open at 5 with the drivers meeting at 6, hot laps at 6:30 and racing at 7:30.
Adult pit passes are $35 while adult tickets are $17 for this special event.
