Allen flies to victory at Humboldt

HUMBOLDT, Kan. - John Allen once raced at the Humboldt Speedway when he was too young to drive the streets.

Allen has no problem getting that liscence now, and has a license to fly as well, it seems.

After a couple of wrecks early forced heads-up restarts, the green flew on the USRA Modified feature Friday night and Allen was gone faster than this month's rent money.

In the ensuing battle for second, Justin "Whitey" Folk blasted by his brother, Jess Jr., late in the race, only to get blasted back at the next corner.

"Pee Wee" finished second and "Whitey" was third, followed by Rodney Sigg and Travis Smith.
