Dylan Clinton won the Mensink Racing Products USRA Hobby Stock main event.

The streak is over in the Medieval USRA Stock Car division at Fayette County Speedway as Decorah’s Kevin Donlan ended Mitch Hovden’s (Decorah) four-race winning streak, but it didn’t come easy for the driver of the 33 Rage Chassis Stock Car. Donlan started third in the race and built a solid lead through the first ⅓ of the race. As sure as the sun rises every morning, Hovden quickly put himself in contention as he moved up six spots to second place and gave Donlan a run for his money.

The two would go back and forth for the top spot, with Donlan prevailing for his second win of the season at the speedway. Hovden took runner-up honors, while Jake Lampert of Caledonia, Minn., claimed third. In fourth was Brayden Gjere of Mabel, Minn., and fifth place went to Waukon’s Chance Hillman.

The USRA B-Mod main event went to Postville’s Josh Roney notched his third win of the season at FCS. Roney started on the pole, but held off charges from Allison’s Trevor Fecht (second place) and Decorah’s Dan Hovden (third place) to cross the checkered flag first. Fourth place went to Keagen Einck of Decorah, while Jeremy Schaufenbuel of New Hampton was fifth.

In the Mensink Racing Products USRA Hobby Stock feature, Edgewood driver Dylan Clinton picked up the win. In his second year in the class, Clinton picked up his first career Hobby Stock win earlier this year. So far, he has three FCS victories to his name already this season. The runner-up finisher was Josh Ludeking (Decorah) who charged ahead five spots in the race. Hawkeye’s Justin Hanson finished third, while Michael Minnier of Monona had a good run to finish fourth. Rounding out the top five was Decorah’s Paul Seabrooke.

With the SLMR Super Late Models in action, the USRA Tuner division had the night off. They will return to action, along with the other weekly Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series classes next Friday for another great night of action at Fayette County Speedway (West Union).
