Clinton wins second straight at Fayette County Speedway
Dylan Clinton won the Mensink Racing Products USRA Hobby Stock main event.
For the second time in as many weeks, Dylan Clinton (Edgewood) parked it in victory lane at Fayette County Speedway.
After notching his first career win in the Mensink Racing Products USRA Hobby Stock division last Friday night, Clinton charged ahead seven spots in the feature to get win No. 2.
Decorah’s Josh Ludeking finished in the runner-up spot, while Elgin’s Paul Seabrooke was third. Dru Kueker of Stanley took fourth while Tim Helle of Garnavillo was fifth.
In the Medieval USRA Stock Car feature, Decorah’s Mitch Hovden was able to get his first win of the season as he held off Waukon’s Dan Jones in the 20-lap feature.
Lynn Panos of Calmar took third, while Brandon Dietrich of Waukon was fourth. Derek Dettmann of McGregor rounded out the top five.
Josh Roney of Postville drove to his second win of the season in the USRA B-Mod class as he passed early race leader Troy Hovey (Decorah) midway through the feature.
Decorah’s Dan Hovden moved up 10 spots from his 12th-place starting spot to take second, while Alex Zwanziger of Walker took third. Jerry Luloff of Independence continued to be consistent as he took fourth, while Keagen Einck of Decorah was fifth. Hovey finished sixth.
The USRA Tuner win went to Brad Stahl of Castalia as he grabbed his second feature win at the track of the season.
Josh Harms of Postville finished second, while Brad’s garage-mate and wife, Katie Stahl, grabbed third. Michael Reicks of New Hampton took fourth and Jeremy Hills of Newton was fifth.
All four Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series classes will be back in action next Friday night, May 21, at Fayette County Speedway in West Union, Iowa— the home of some of the best racing around for only $5 admission.
