Officials from the 82 Speedway have unveiled their 2021 schedule of events.

For a second straight season, the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series will feature USRA Modifieds, USRA Limited Mods, Sunoco USRA Factory Stocks and USRA Tuners during the popular racetrack's Saturday night programs.

The 2021 campaign kicks off Wednesday, February 17, when the high-banked 3/8-mile dirt oval hosts the fifth night of the B&B Chassis USRA Southern Thaw presented by American Racer—a seven-night, four-track trek through North Texas featuring USRA Stock Cars, USRA Limited Mods, Sunoco USRA Factory Stocks and USRA Tuners.

The regular season opener is Saturday, March 6, and weekly racing continues through July 31.

More special series events and attractions will be added along the way, officials noted.

The 82 Speedway features a 60-foot-wide racing surface that is a 1/4 mile measured around the inside of the racing surface and the groove is right at 1/3 mile. There are no walls and a lot of runoff space around the entire track.

Oversized grandstands that each have unobstructed viewing from whatever spot you choose and huge spectator and pit parking areas will greet everyone on their arrival.

Track owners Tracy and Shelley Peters are some of the nicest people you’ll ever come across, and they have been reinvesting in the permanent structure of the facility since they purchased it in 2019.
