ELDON, Iowa - Racing action at the Eldon Raceway came to a close with the season championship night of action.

The USRA Hobby Stock feature started with another red flag flying for Don Nunnikhoven taking a nasty flip down the backstretch and coming to rest in turn three with Nunnikhoven walking away but his car was destroyed. After the green flag flew Danny Thrasher of Agency paced the field for the first five laps before last weeks winner Jason McDaniel of Eldon taking the lead and the checkers for the 14th time in 2008. Thrasher took second with Louis Lynch of Glenwood, Mo. Taking third and Bob Lynch of Ottumwa in fourth.

The USRA Karl Chevrolet B-Mod feature with Mike Shelton taking the early lead with Andrew Schroeder of Keswick in second with Schroeder taking the lead with six laps remaining to take the win. Todd Holman of Ottumwa took the second spot with Shelton in third and Jayme Duinink of Pella in fourth.
