Whitey wins again at Humboldt
HUMBOLDT, Kan. - USRA Modified action Friday night at Humboldt Speedway featured the "usual suspect": Whitey Folk, riding the high side of The Hummer high banks on his way to still another feature win.
Jessy Willard looked very strong in the number two spot, while an underpowered Jess Folk Jr. wrestled third place away from Ryan Whitworth.
Rodney Sigg was fifth.
Only six days to the big one: the July 3rd Modified Blowout. A tradition since 1992, this race always brings out stiff competition from many areas of the United States. All four classes will compete.
Adult admission is $13 and kids 6-12 are $5. Modified entry fee is $75 for car and driver and pit passes are $25. Gates open at 6 p.m. with racing at 8 and a fireworks display after the races.
The Modified event pays $1,000 to win and $300 to start the main event.
