Tyler Wolff won the USRA Modified feature.

The Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series continued at the mighty Tri-State Speedway on Saturday night. Mid-90-degree temperatures greeted the fans as they made their way to their seats. With temperatures hot all week, the slightly cooler temps after sunset, along with the unexpected wind from the north, made for a more pleasant racing experience.

Heat races were determined by the driver’s draw at sign in. The classes advanced to their features heads up with an invert redraw.

The fourth main event of the night was the Out-Pace USRA B-Mod feature where Daniel Tarkington of Checotah returned to victory lane for the second time this season. Mike Striegel of Wheatland, Mo., and Steve Butler of Siloam Springs, Ark., finished second and third. With the win, Tarkington moved to the top of the track points standings for the class.

The USRA Modifieds took to the high banks last for their feature. Tyler Wolff of Fayetteville, Ark., picked up the win over Logan Robertson of Shamrock, Texas, and Striegel, pulling double-duty, in third place. Brent Holman of Rogers, Ark., extended his track points lead, now at 42, with his fourth-place finish.

The next event for Tri-State Speedway will be Saturday, June 9, for a full night of Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series action. A two-day topless Out-Pace USRA B-Mod special is on tap June 29-30. More information on all events can be found on our website and our social media channels.
