19th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree approaching fast
The 19th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree gets underway Thursday, Sept. 21, at the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn., where the world’s elite Modified and B-Mod drivers will be racing for three nights and nearly $150,000 in posted prize money.
Set for Thursday-Saturday, Sept. 21-23, fans will witness a complete program all three nights, with $5,000 going to the USMTS Modified winner on the first two nights while Saturday’s winner will pocket a cool $10,000. The Iron Man Challenge Out-Pace USRA B-Mods will battle for $750 to win Thursday, $1,000 to win Friday and $1,200 to win Saturday.
An open practice for all drivers is slated for Wednesday, Sept. 20, from 6-9 p.m.
Thursday is the final event in the Hunt for the USMTS Casey’s Cup powered by S&S Fishing & Rental with the crowning of the 2017 USMTS national champion at the conclusion of the night's main event. B-Mod drivers will earn points in both the Iron Man Challenge and Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points all three nights.
Saturday’s annual Modified Non-Qualifiers Race will dole out $2,000 to the winner prior to the $10,000-to-win championship race which will start a minimum of 30 cars three-wide on the high-banked 3/8-mile clay oval. The Non-Qualifiers Race will also have 30 cars on the track.
New for 2017, a second Non-Qualifiers Race for the Modifieds has been added to Thursday's program which will pay $700 to win and no less than $100 to start for each of the 24 starters.
There will be a complete show each night. The top 15 in heat race passing points are locked into “A” Main each night with the top 8 redrawing for the first eight starting positions. An additional 15 drivers will advance from the “B” Mains.
RULES & PROCEDURES
Modifieds: USMTS rules apply. The top 15 in passing points each night are locked into “A” Main each night with the top-8 redrawing for position. Another 15 drivers will advance from “B” Mains to create a 30-car “A” Main each night. Saturday’s “A” Main will start three wide. The top 24 from Thursday's “B” Mains and top 30 from Saturday’s “B” Mains not advancing to the “A” Main those nights are eligible for the Non-Qualifiers Race (complete redraw for starting spot both nights). USMTS points, provisionals and Top Dog Bonus will be Thursday only.
B-Mods: USRA rules apply. The top 15 in passing points each night are locked into the “A” Main each night with the top 8 redrawing for starting spots. Modifieds: Three-day entry is $200 if paid on or before Monday, Sept. 11, by 5 p.m. CST; Three-day entry is $300 if paid after Sept. 11 but on or before Sept. 20; Three-day entry is $400 after Sept. 20; Thursday only is $100 in advance or $125 at the gate; Friday only is $125 in advance or $150 at the gate; Saturday only is $200 in advance or $250 at the gate.
B-Mods: Three-day entry in advance is $100 for licensed or $125 for non-licensed drivers; Three-day entry is $150 for all drivers at the gate; Thursday only is $35 for licensed or $50 for non-licensed; Friday only is $60 for licensed or $75 for non-licensed; Saturday only is $75 for licensed or $100 for non-licensed.

Ticket prices for spectators are $25 Thursday, $25 Friday and $30 Saturday. A three-day reserved ticket is $80. Kids ages 12 and under are $10 per night or a three-day reserved ticket is $30.

The Deer Creek Speedway is a high-banked 3/8-mile clay oval which sits on 60 acres with one of America’s most popular state-of-the-art racing complexes and an adjoining campground.
