Shadren Turner won the Out-Pace USRA B-Mod feature.

Starting the racing action on Motorcycle Closeouts Night at the I-35 Speedway were the USRA Modifieds for their make-up feature from the June 17 rain-out. Cory Wray bolted to the front and never looked back in picking up the win. Wray was challenged early and often by Darren Shaw and Derrick Hicks as they had their own battle raging for second and third. Hicks placed second, edging Shaw, who ended the race third. Fourth saw USRA Modified rookie Nic Hanes with Billie Hoover a close fifth.

Out-Pace USRA B-Mods saw a race of epic proportions as the gladiators did battle three- and four-wide. Shadren Turner used use a heat race win to propel him to the front as he held off the hard challenge of Bud Wilson . Contact between Wilson and Tim Eaton on a restart sent both cars to the tail of the field, moving Doug Keller to attempt to catch Turner for the lead. Turner would not be denied and stood tall in McCarthy Auto Group Winners Circle with Keller placing second. Third belonged to Daniel Harris who was in the hunt for the win all race with Tony Manley with his best run to date in fourth. The always fast and consistent Randy Ainsworth ended the night with a solid top-five finish.

Holley USRA Stock Cars saw a new face in victory lane as Brett Heeter swept both heat race and feature on this night of competition. Heeter went unchallenged, walking away from the field and winning by a straight-away over second-place finisher Dean Wray . Aaron Sauter finished third with Brad Whitney fourth and Jon Boller fifth.

USRA Modifieds saw a battle on the race track between Mount Ayr, Iowa’s Dennis Elliott and Shamrock, Texas, driver Logan Robertson as they went back and forth for the top spot. Elliott ran the high line and Robertson the low line with neither giving an inch to the other. Elliott stayed up top on the track and used that high side momentum to gain the advantage at the line and pick up the feature win. Elliott won both heat race and feature, celebrating in McCarthy Auto Group Winners Circle. Robertson placed second with Billie Hoover impressing with a third-place showing. Fourth saw the Hall-of-Famer Buz Kaster hold off the hard challenge of fifth-place finisher Derrick Hicks.

Dennis Elliott won the USRA Modified feature.
