Dave Kennedy claimed the USRA B-Mod feature victory on Saturday, June 13, at the I-90 Speedway.

HARTFORD, S.D.—Logan Fitzpatrick's best feature finish at the I-90 Speedway before this Saturday night's show was ninth.

With $300 in bonus money on the line from Underberg Lawn Service and his family, Fitzpatrick bolted past Aaron DeThury, Jessica Brandt and James Adams on the opening lap.

Once by, he opened a nice lead over the rest of the field although Mike Chaney began working his way up from the outside.

Fitzpatrick closed out his best career feature by just beating Chaney to the finish line.

Michalob Voeltz raced to second but settled for third, the best finish of his rookie campaign in the USRA Hobby Stock division.

An opening lap incident between front row starters Marty Myers and Chris Goetz sent Myers to the rear and Goetz to the pits on the opening lap of the USRA B-Mod feature.

That moved Dave Kennedy and Tim Dann to the front row.

Dann took off to lead the first eight laps before being overtaken by Kennedy. Kennedy's lead began to shrink as Miah Christensen came from 10th to close the gap.

The final lap saw Christensen slam hard into Kennedy's driver side in the final corners.

Christensen crossed the flagstand first but was immediately black-flagged for rough driving, allowing Kennedy to record his first win.

Tyler Tesch and Nick Barger were scored in second and third.

In all, 80 cars filled I-90 Speedway's pits on Saturday including 25 USRA B-Mods and 24 USRA Hobby Stocks.

This coming Saturday is Hartford Night. All Hartford and Humboldt residents receive free admission with an ID.
