Martin, Wilson add to season win totals at Tri-State Speedway

POCOLA, Okla. -- George Martin of Fort Smith, Ark., won his 12th USRA Modified feature of the season Saturday at the Tri-State Speedway. It was also his fifth win in a row as the third-generation racer clinched the season track championship with two points races remaining.

Kyle Ledford was the runner-up in Saturday's main event while Jeremy Vaughn, Brent Holman and Andy Milliken rounded out the top 5.

In USRA B-Mod action, For Smith's Brandon Wilson notched his 16the feature win of the 2013 campaign, but still has a tight points battle remaining with Kyle McAllister in second place and within striking distance.

McAllister finished second in the feature Saturday. Fifteen-year-old Camden Perry was third.

The Tri-State Speedway is celebrating 43 consecutive years of racing in 2013. Racing continues next Saturday, Sept. 21, at the 3/8-mile high-banked dirt oval located 1.6 miles west of the Arkansas-Oklahoma State line on US 271, then 0.3 mile north.
