Christensen inherits I-90 Speedway feature win
HARTFORD, SD -- To say fans at I-90 Speedway saw a stellar show before the annual fireworks display would not be an exaggeration. Four laps of the USRA B-Mod main event were cut due to I-90 Speedway's 20-minute time limit on features.
Dave Kennedy led the first five laps but an apparent flat tire took him to the work area. Dudley Schroeder Jr. inherited the lead and never gave it up. But Schroeder was disqualified after tech officials declared his car had an illegal ignition.
The win went to Miah Christensen who started in the seventh row. It was his second in three weeks and it's also worth noting he won the other feature as a provisional driver for Marty Myers.
Dennis Martin ran a strong race to finish second and Kevin Joachim was third in his first I-90 Speedway race of 2013.
The Lucas Oil ASCS National Sprint Car Series comes to I-90 Speedway on Saturday, July 6. Hot laps begin at 6:30 p.m. Visit www.i90speedway.com for more information.
