Higley wins USRA B-Mod feature at Lakeside Speedway

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- The USRA B-Mod feature had four different leaders and five different lead changes in their 15-lap feature race Saturday night at the Lakeside Speedway. The last three laps the top three drivers were door to door exchanging positions.

Gene Claxton took the lead initially and would lead again during laps 12 and 13. Brad Smith lead laps 4 through 10. Chad Clancy was always in the hunt, leading lap 11 but at the end it was Mike Higley who crossed the finish line first, leading only the last two laps.

Higley, Claxton and Clancy finished ahead of hard chargers Dakota Foster, who started 22nd, and Smith, who raced back to finish fifth after being caught up in a crash.

USRA Modifieds were not on the racing card as the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series headlined the event.
