Evans, Tupper, Abernathy claim wins at Rocket Raceway

PETTY, Texas (June 21, 2025)—Saturday night’s Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series at Rocket Raceway Park delivered thrilling action across three classes, with drivers battling for top spots in the main events.
In the USRA Stock Car feature, Boone Evans of Bullard led the charge, holding off Tyler Muirhead of Mabank for the win. Raymond King of Wylie took third, followed by Michael Smith of Paris in fourth and Jesse Freelen of Powderly in fifth.
The USRA Limited Mod feature saw Coty Tupper of Blanchard, La., surge to victory. Boone Evans of Bullard secured another podium with second place, while Sean Gaddis of Diana claimed third. Cory Whitworth of Durant, Okla., finished fourth, and Peyton Johannesen of Mabank rounded out the top five.
In the Sunoco USRA Factory Stock feature, Ty Abernathy of Mt. Ida, Ark., dominated for the win. Richard George Jr. of Dodd City took second, with Joe Findling of Forney in third. Jeffrey Hill of Sherman placed fourth, and James Proctor of Paris completed the top five.
Racing continues next Saturday at Rocket Raceway Park with another round of the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series.
