Sharpensteen, Robinson, Lindsey triumph at Route 66 Motor Speedway

AMARILLO, Texas (June 14, 2025)—Saturday night’s Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series at Route 66 Motor Speedway showcased intense racing across three classes, with Amarillo’s A.J. Sharpensteen, Post’s Dustin Robinson and Canyon’s Teddy Lindsey capturing victories in the USRA Modifieds, USRA Limited Mods and USRA Tuners, respectively.
In the USRA Modified feature, Sharpensteen charged from seventh to claim the win, edging out Canyon’s Derek Scott in second. Las Cruces, N.M., driver Stormy Scott finished third, followed by Odessa’s Philip Houston in fourth and Amarillo’s Braden Howell in fifth.
The USRA Limited Mod feature saw Robinson take the checkered flag after starting on the pole. Amarillo’s Brock Hall secured second, with Lubbock’s Ryan Reeves in third, Lubbock’s J.P. Vasquez Jr. in fourth, and Stinnett’s Brett Cummings in fifth. Woodward, Okla., driver Jeffrey Kaup, who initially finished fourth, was disqualified post-race for a technical violation.
In the USRA Tuner feature, Lindsey held off Canyon’s Austin Lindsey for the victory. Amarillo’s Marcos Tobar took third, followed by Canyon’s Mekayla Wynne in fourth and Amarillo’s Jeffery Thompson in fifth.
