PETTY, Texas (May 31, 2025)—Rocket Raceway Park delivered a thrilling Saturday night of action for the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series, with the USRA Stock Cars, USRA Limited Mods, and Sunoco USRA Factory Stocks divisions battling fiercely in their respective Features.

In the USRA Stock Cars Feature, Michael Smith of Paris took the victory, starting third and powering to the front. Tim Clonch of Quinlan finished second after starting from the pole, followed by Raymond King of Wylie in third from the second spot. John Michael Winters of Pattonville secured fourth, starting fourth, and Anthony Boatman of Whitehouse rounded out the top five, advancing from seventh.

The USRA Limited Mods Feature saw Coty Tupper of Blanchard, La., claim the win, surging from the pole position to hold off the field. Colton Keel of Anna finished second after starting fifth, while Cory Whitworth of Durant, Okla., took third from the sixth spot. Matthew Riskey of Commerce secured fourth, starting fourth, and Mason Day of Farmersville completed the top five, starting second.

In the Sunoco USRA Factory Stocks Feature, James Proctor of Paris took the checkered flag, starting second and leading much of the race. Ty Abernathy of Mt. Ida, Ark., finished second after starting fourth, followed by Deaon Redmon of Paris in third from the third position. Jeffrey Hill of Sherman took fourth, advancing from ninth, and Brett Jensen of Forney rounded out the top five, starting from the pole.

The night showcased intense competition, with local drivers like Michael Smith and James Proctor thrilling the crowd with strong runs after solid heat race performances. The heats set the stage for dramatic battles, with several drivers, including Jeffrey Hill, making notable charges through the field to contend for top finishes.
