Pursley pockets $10,000 at Sunoco USRA Factory Stock Showdown

Craig Pursley won the Sunoco USRA Factory Stock main event.
Super Bee Speedway in Chatham, La., was buzzing with excitement on Saturday as the Sunoco USRA Factory Stock Showdown concluded a thrilling three-night spectacle in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series event.
The finale saw Craig Pursley of New Waverly, Texas, claim the Sunoco USRA Factory Stock feature to claim a massive $10,000 prize, while defending USRA Limited Mod National Champion Justin Whitehead led the charge in the USRA Limited Mod class.
Whitehead of Texarkana, Texas, showcased his championship pedigree, starting from the pole and holding off a stacked field to secure the victory.
Current national points leader Ethan Bailes of Elizabeth finished a strong second, with Mickey Steele of Ball taking third. Derrick Lofton of Pollock and Colton Davis of Prairieville rounded out the top five.
The Sunoco USRA Factory Stock feature delivered edge-of-your-seat action as Pursley charged to the win.
Mark Underwood Jr. of Ruston finished second, followed by Josh Daughtery in third. Neil Kemp of Mineral Springs, Ark., battled to fourth, and Whitehead capped an impressive night with a fifth-place finish.
The Sunoco USRA Factory Stock Showdown capped an electrifying weekend at Super Bee Speedway, setting the stage for more high-stakes racing in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series, which returns Saturday, May 10.
